branch As it is Arboreal, a lot of branches are needed to climb and stay on (e.g. Habba Tree , Sand-Blasted Grapevine)

activity period Daytime (diurnal);
12 - 14 hours each day with direct natural sunlight or UV lamp (e.g. ReptiSun 5.0, UV Heat Bulb)

Spray water all over its body and the surroundings 1 or 2 times a day, or a drip system is recommended. Sometimes soak it in lukewarm water for 15 minutes
water bowl a large water bowl (e.g. Rock water dish) can exist for soaking, but not drinking. Note that a healthy Green iguana would never drink by its mouth. It would absorb enough water from the environment and water spray.

diet Herbivorous (plant-eating);

Hatchlings and young juveniles may very occasionally eat worms and insects. Adults should be only fed on plant matter, or the well-balanced Iguana Pelleted Food, Iguana Formulas
dark leafy greens (70%) mustards, collards, dandelions, turnips, hibiscus, mulberries, sprouts, etc
other plant matter (20%) carrots, tomatos, beans, peas, asparagus, okra, celeries, squashes, etc
juicy fruits (10%) apples, figs, kiwis, strawberries, plums, peaches, grapes, papayas, mangos, etc
never feed on spinaches, bok choy, broccoli, cabbages, bananas
Ca : P ideal calicum to phosphorous ratio is 2 : 1 for Green Iguana
how often to feed? Every day for hatchlings;
4 - 5 times a week for juveniles;
3 - 4 times a week for adults
notes Wrong food (e.g. pizza, meat, etc) or too much water taken will lead to kiddney failure
reproduction
