sizes The Emperor scorpion reaches a length of 229 mm (the Guiness Book of Records). The Heterometrus swammerdami grows to 247 and 292 mm (Guiness Book of Records), while Opstophthalmus gigas from the northern Cape and Namibia attains a length of 160 mm and probably outweighs the Ischnurid, Hadogenes troglodytes, the world longest scorpion at 210 mm, that weighs 32 grams.
housing
natural habitats Terrestrial;

usually in hot and arid desert areas, while some in grasslands
cage Cage should be wide instead of tall. (e.g. Wooden Terrarium, Glass Terrarium) Make sure it is escape-proof.
substrate Sand (e.g. Repti Sand, Calci-Sand), gravel, soil, moss (e.g. Forest Bed , Forest Moss), barks (e.g. Repti Bark, Coconut Bark)

It should be at least 2" deep for burrowing scorpions.
humidity low to mid
water dish Optional. A small water dish (e.g. Rock water dish) can be left inside but not all the time. If without, sligntly mist the substrate with water about once to twice a week.
hiding place Essential. a place for its privacy, security and sleep by day.

Possibllites include caves (e.g. Habbe Hut, Heat Cave), etc
